Why is Costa Rica the best place to learn Spanish?
Truth be told, there is nothing like doing a total immersion to learn a new language. There is nothing like experiencing firsthand the reality of the people who speak that language, eating their food, discovering their culture, and sharing dreams. The immersion experience will make the words begin to flow, and you will understand their meaning in the context.
For this reason, at Colibrí Language School we love that our students not only learn Spanish, but also learn about Costa Rica and get the opportunity to explore this extraordinary country, a bridge to Central America and a worthy representative of exuberant diversity.
Why is Costa Rica the best place to learn Spanish?
- Zero accent: People speak very clearly and almost accent-free. The Costa Rican accent is considered more neutral than in other Latin American countries, so our Spanish is easy for foreigners to understand.
- Kindness: It is very easy to practice because most Ticos, as they call themselves, are friendly, courteous, and good conversationalists. So, you will often have people with whom to exchange stories and lots of words.
- Adventure: Learning Spanish in Costa Rica will never be boring because there are thousands of options for adventure tourism while learning new terms. For example, there are many trails in conservation areas for trekking and hiking. There are also dozens of beaches, volcanoes, and mangroves. We love the sites of the Southern Zone and Pérez Zeledón because of these attractions, and this area also has rural tourism that allows foreigners to know the roots and way of life of humble and Costa Rican families.
Already Conviced?
We know that many people are already thinking about their next trip to Costa Rica. In fact, the country received 46,804 tourists from the United States by air in September, that is 93.3% of the amount registered for the same month of the year prior the pandemic (2019). This represents a robust recovery of the main outbound market for travelers to Costa Rica, according to local media.
Hence, we offer an intensive course that will allow you to develop communication skills and the management of basic vocabulary so that when you arrive here you’ll feel at home.
