One experience that our students enjoy is when they can talk in Spanish with some Costa Ricans guests or do exchanges with our English students. It helps them to get confidence because they realize that they can understand and communicate in Spanish. There are some beginning students, that may feel fear speaking Spanish, but we help them to feel comfortable. Through the methodology that we use at Colibrí Language school they become familiar with the kinds of conversations that they can have with our Costa Rican guests or students, these conversations are about real life situations that they can use outside the class too.
At Colibrí Language School we like to help students learn in a comfortable environment where they can make mistakes and have fun. When students are starting to learn a language it’s normal to make mistakes. It means they are trying, and they are discovering new structures and vocabulary to express their ideas. So, we don’t want them to feel bad or ashamed because it is part of the learning process. We can help you learn from them and reduce them.
Practicing your Spanish with native Spanish speakers is extremely important because you will be able to have direct contact with them and learn not just about the language structure and pronunciation, but also about their culture.
